Hello, and welcome to the SVIRA Foundation blog. This is our very first post, and this space will be where we share stories, insights and updates from the ground. Who we are SVIRA Foundation is a Section 8 not-for-profit company registered in Maharashtra. SVIRA stands for Sustainable Vision for Inclusive and Resilient Actions , and that is exactly what we hope to build: long-term, community-led change that includes everyone and holds up in difficult times. Our work spans public health, education, women empowerment, environment, rural development, youth employment, technology for social good, and disaster relief. Why we started There was no single dramatic moment behind SVIRA. Our founding team has spent years working in the health sector, and again and again we saw the same gaps in the field, with very little changing.
